Darker Side of the Street represented my childhood. This was a cool concept for me. When I was young, we lived in a nice place and my family seemed happy. As time went on we moved to the other side of the tracks and family life seemed to fall apart. My evolution from a soft innocent child to a man, A process we all go thru. I did the 1st half of the song, it is soft and relaxing. When the song slows down, J Create samples the beginning half of the song, chops it up and lays down a rougher version of the beginning. The same material was transformed. A process we all go thru, sadly. Awesome collaboration, J Create a true hip hop producer!
